I dislike most of these galleries intensely because they seem like fairly transparent attemps to glamourise abuse. I'd like to hear someone else's opinion.
Note that I have absolutely nothing against SM practice or art, and I've dabbled in that myself. But SM bruises, injuries, or bondage look nothing like their violent counterparts, deliberately.
I appreciate your concern but this bruise is something that she got when she fell on her ass. In fact she went out of her way to contact me so I could snap pictures of it.
There is nothing in my site that glamorises abuse. That's an interpetation by you not a fact of my work.
I would argue that all other forms of erotic art that has naked women hides the bruises and natural marks that make up the human skin and body. I like to expose the reality of bodies and not just a fantasy-- a pretty picture...
I would disagree that the galleries glamourise abuse. The imagery is disturbing at times, but I don't think it's saying abuse is OK.
Also, I do not think the bruises as the result of SM are obviously different than bruises gained through other methods. The only difference would be location and even then that doesn't necesarily matter.
I feel off a chair and got an enormous bruise on my back. My kinky friends all thought I got it from a scene.
Seconded, I'm involved in some BDS stuff, and the scenes that usually mark me are when my partner grabs me roughly by the arms or shoulders. Big honking purple and yellow fingermarks. There is no mistaking that a person stronger than me is roughly tossing me about, but I have to explain to annoyed faces, even to kinky friends that it is completely consensual. Yes, rope marks, flogger marks are different, but some heavily kinky subs have never even felt the touch of a whip, so everyone's marks are going to look differently.
